Subprocessors

The third-party subprocessors Modern Paper, Inc. uses to deliver PDF Blocks, with each provider's purpose, the data they may access, and their location.

Last updated 25 July 2026

To deliver PDF Blocks, Modern Paper, Inc. relies on the third-party providers listed below. Each may access data only to perform tasks on our behalf and is contractually bound not to use it for any other purpose. We keep this list deliberately short.

Crucially, the contents of documents you send to the API are not shared with any subprocessor. Documents are processed within our own AWS and Microsoft Azure infrastructure, in the region you address, and are never transmitted to a third party.

Current subprocessors

Provider Purpose Data accessed Location
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud hosting and infrastructure. Hosts the account data we persist (account, billing, usage metadata) and processes API documents transiently in memory. AWS does not access our application data as an independent party. Account data: United States. Document processing: the region you address — Global, US, EU, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, India, or Brazil.
Microsoft Azure Cloud hosting and compute for parts of the regional footprint. Processes API documents transiently in memory in the regions where it operates. Does not access our application data as an independent party. Document processing: the region you address, within the same regional footprint as above.
Stripe Payment processing, subscription billing, and invoicing. Account and billing contact details and payment-card data, which are entered directly on Stripe-hosted pages and never pass through our systems. United States (global processing)

Single sign-on providers

If you choose to sign in with a single sign-on provider, we use the following. They do not receive document contents or usage data.

Provider Purpose Data accessed Location
Google Optional single sign-on (only if you choose to use it). The account identifier and email returned by Google sign-in. United States
Microsoft Optional single sign-on (only if you choose to use it). The account identifier and email returned by Microsoft sign-in. United States

Changes to this list

We may update this list as our providers change. Business customers under a Data Processing Addendum are notified of material changes to subprocessors as required by that addendum. For questions, contact security@pdfblocks.com.
